so today we're going to be talking about

a hugely underestimated website

where there's thousands of people

earning millions of dollars and that

website is called

etsy maybe you've heard of etsy maybe

you haven't for a lot of the big home

decor and do-it-yourselfers out there

and all of the artists and creators etsy

might be something that you are very

familiar with but the thing is

a lot of other people aren't and etsy's

at a really perfect place right now

where there's millions and millions of

customers

but it's still very underestimated which

means that it's not as competitive

as other services such as shopify and

there's an old saying that the best way

to be

ultra successful is to be both a

contrarian

which means doing things that most other

people are not and also to be right and

so the method that we're going to be

teaching you in today's video

is using a proven method of drop

shipping

but not doing it in the way that most

people do with facebook ads and shopify

and so if you've ever heard of drop

shipping and you've seen a bunch of

people making a bunch of money doing it

but you're thinking to yourself well

Turab yeah now shopify and drop shipping

is really oversaturated

well this is the new age strategy that

you can use to

actually start making significantly more

money than you might think.

whereas amazon has hundreds of millions

but 20 million is no

small fee and really what differentiates

etsy from other platforms is they have a

lot more

handmade products you know things like

where somebody will paint your phone

case

or your laptop case or they'll make a

custom piece of jewelry

and the cool thing is if you're artistic

or you like doing things yourself or

you're a diyer

or you like doing arts and crafts at

home or you have any artistic talent

then etsy is absolutely something that

you should do but

the cool thing is even if you have no

artistic talent like myself

literally zero you can still make money

with etsy using the strategy. 

This is etsy has a very important advantage

that shopify does not when you're

actually drop shipping on shopify

you need to pay for every single visitor

to your site in one way or another

whether it's through time

seo or through paid traffic like google

and facebook ads but the cool thing

about

etsy is similar to amazon etsy actually

has the ability

to attract organic customers that are

already browsing on

etsy and all you have to do is actually

take advantage and find

trending interesting products do some

basic

listing optimization you know to tell

etsy what your product is

what it's related to so that it can show

your product when somebody searches for

it or it can show your product as a

suggested product and so

the reason that i want to look at um

check trends first is because these are

products

that are unique right these are products

that you know somebody would want to buy

especially tech enthusiasts

and unique products generally makes

things a lot easier and i'm going to do

this in real time so it's much more

realistic of how doing

product research on etsy actually works

um and so what we're going to do is

we're actually going to take a couple of

these products

you know let's say cable organizer let's

take a hexagon

wool felt mouse pad wow that's really

hard for me to say

um so let's actually go to aliexpress

and type in cable organizer

right and what we're going to see is

we're going to see a bunch of different

examples here

you know we can see right here these

cost literally three cents

which is like ridiculous um you can buy

a bunch of them here

um we could even type in something like

wooden cable organizer

um and we can see what they have here a

lot of different options

right and so what we can do is we can

actually go into etsy

um we can click cable organizer right we

see a wooden one here

with a thousand reviews right and so

generally what i like to do when i see

reviews is i like to divide it by .03

right because

a really fair estimate to how many

reviews versus

sales a product gets is one to three

percent so

it has a thousand and forty six reviews

um and if we assume that out of

all of the people who bought only three

percent left reviews and we divide that

by .03

that means that this product has sold

thirty four thousand eight hundred and

sixty six

units right um and with like you know a

thirty percent profit margin

um you know let's multiply that by uh 29

um and then multiply it by 0.3 for the

profit margin

um that means that this product you know

potentially has earned over 300 000

in profit just from this one product so

what we're going to do is we're going to

look for another product

let's type in uh wool

and the cool thing is you know you don't

actually have to find a hexagon wool

mouse pad

because the manufacturers um you know

from aliexpress

can make that mouse pad in whatever

shape that you actually want right you

can make it in the shape

of a cute animal for example you can

make it in the shape of a hexagon

you can make it in the shade in whatever

shape you're actually interested in so

if we click this right here

we can see that they're selling you know

they have 6 000 reviews right so oh so

it actually tells you the number of

sales right here

um 31 000 sales that's actually

interesting so that means that this

product actually has like a

you know close to a 15 to 20 sales ratio

um so you can see right here that they

have a bunch of different types of mouse

pads

we can actually click on felt planet

right here and we can see all of the

different products that they actually

sell

we can look for the ones that have the

most reviews right because the most

reviews

means that the product has the most

sales generally right

and so what you're looking for are

products that have a lot of social proof

right in the form of reviews and sales

but wouldn't be that difficult to

actually source

from overseas and then what you do is

you create a

free etsy account you list that product

even though you have no inventory

and then whenever you get a sale of the

product on etsy let's say for 20

then you go right over here to

aliexpress and you buy that exact same

wool and mouse pad

that you already sold and collected the

money for

for 20 and then you actually buy that

same woolen mouse pad right here

for a dollar and 59 cents right that's

the beauty

of drop shipping and i'm going to

explain it one more time just so

everybody gets it drop shipping is

beautiful because you sell it on etsy

for 18 right 31 000 sales you can sell

it for 18

all day long right and you buy that same

mouse pad

you know for a dollar and 59 cents or

even two dollars

and then you net all the difference

between you know the 18

after etsy's marketplace fees um and the

dollar and 59 cents

plus 77 cents for shipping right which

is still a very wide

profit margin you know probably close to

30 40

or even more and the beautiful part is

when you get a sale on

etsy all you have to do is come over

here to aliexpress

buy that same product and then you ship

it to the person's address

who bought it from you on etsy right and

the beautiful thing is you don't have to

store any inventory you don't have to do

any of the warehousing any of the

fulfillment because this manufacturer

will ship it out

for you straight to that person's door

and all you have to do is say you know

please don't include

any china packaging or anything like

that you can create custom packaging so

it feels more fluid and more consistent

you know being sold by your company

so you can package it however you want

so let's look at a couple other examples

right so we're going to get rid of the

hexagon woolen mouse pad

and we're going to go to another product

here another category that i love to

actually sell in whether it's on amazon

or on etsy or in any platform

is the actual home and kitchen that's

the single category that i've made the

most money with

and i'm going to show you guys why right

so you can see right here that this

large plant stand with pot

has actually sold 4 85 units for

60 dollars now again if we come back

over to aliexpress.com

and we type in the exact same thing

we can see that they're selling them

right here for 10.79

right there's another one right here

that's even closer

for 16 right and so there's all these

sorts of different products

and you can work with the manufacturer

and you can make products you know it's

very similar if not exactly the same as

this

for literally five or six times less

money

you don't have to warehouse the products

you don't have to store them you don't

have to ship them

you don't have to package them all you

do is you sell it on etsy

you fill in the person's address who

bought it from you

and then you input that address directly

right here on aliexpress

and they ship it to your end customer

directly

and you net the difference between what

you sold it for for much more and what

you bought it for

for much less and let's take another

example so if we go back

another category that i love selling on

amazon drop shipping on etsy

is actually the office category and you

can see right here there's so many

different random office

products like chalkboards dry erase

boards

um acrylic dry erase boards as you can

see a lot of cool office products here

um you know i'm just gonna pick a random

one

um she believes she could so she did

right um so

girls nursery decor inspirational um we

can see right here that uh this is

basically

uh a wall art uh print

so if we come over to aliexpress and

just type in wall art print

um we can see that they probably have

you know one of these big companies

and one thing that i like to do also is

you can actually sort by orders

just to see who's actually selling the

most stuff and what we can see right

here is they have a bunch of canvas

prints

you know that means that they're

probably also making other things as

well

custom prints for 4.99 right so you can

see right here she's selling these or i

don't know if it's a girl actually but

9 47 sales for 14

plus right depending on what the size is

14 is the smallest one

um and you can buy that same exact thing

right for 4.99 or you know a dollar and

44 cents

or even a cent you know for some of

these uh where it's really small so

literally all you have to do

is find a design or something that

people are actually interested in buying

and you can find what's popular

by looking at wall art on amazon looking

at wall art on google

looking for social proof looking for

sales looking for reviews

and then all you have to do is just

improve upon that design that you

already know

works find a manufacturer you know on

aliexpress

that will ship this directly to your

customer and you take advantage of

etsy's already pre-existing tens of

millions of users

and then you actually make the money and

net the difference between

what you're actually able to sell it for

collect the money and then

and only then you actually buy that same

exact product for much cheaper

and you have your manufacturer ship it

directly to your end user

and you don't have to do any of the hard
